What does it take to get a RESALE license in the State of California, Long Beach to be exact….any info?
I checked the Long Beach website, and it’s a bit ambiguous….any info from somebody with experience would be appreciated! Focus: home based business, custom apparel, no employees….(yet.)

A resale "permit" is obtained from the State of California Franchise Tax Board. This allows you to buy wholesale, with out sales tax. You do your markup and charge tax at the retail price.
The process is easy and free. You just have to file estimated tax forms each quarter, and remit the sales taxes you collected. Any State of California Franchise Tax office will have the form. Perhaps their website does too.
OOPS! Board of Equalization is right. Sorry.
If you are talking about a BUSINESS license for your home-based busines, you might inquire from the City of Long Beach Finance Department.
