Any business has to target their audience. Find the way most of your clients would see you or your advertising and use it.

I have a home based business and I did not have to get a permit for it. If you are only doing computer work and the only employee is you, then you don’t have to get a permit. But it’s best to check with your local govt. I checked with my city. I just called City of BlahBlahBlah and asked them about home based business. I think the rules vary by county. You should keep detailed records of how much you make and how much you buy "for the business" because you can get tax write offs. For example. Lets say you want a new $5000 computer. You were going to buy it anyway..but now you declare yourself a home based business. So now you NEED that computer for your computer business. That’s a tax write off. A % of your rent or mortgage, depending on how much space the business takes up in your home. A portion of your car expenses, a portion of your utilities, all of your home phone and cell phone can be written off. You just have to keep good records and receipts and when tax time comes, you may want to consult a CPA who can help you get the biggest tax refund.
