I am not looking for a get rich quick as they do not exist. Just need to make a living somehow.
You can have a legitimate home based business by setting up your own online business. You can get your merchandise from online wholesalers. So you won’t be needing a car. Your merchandise will be delivered to you and you can start selling them. I suggest you start with Ebay, eCrater, or Craigslist. There are many e-commerce website where you can sell your merchandise for free. Like in Ebay, most sellers, ship their orders through USPS. You just have to visit your post office, when you have to ship an order. I suggest go with clothing business. I am doing it right now, and doing perfectly for me. If you want to make lots of money by next week then the answer is NO – there are no legitimate home based businesses that genuinely do this. Although there are plenty of people telling you there is.
If you work for someone from home, you can make some extra money but it will never be a huge amount. It might just give you the extra you need.
But if you want to have a legitimate home based business that you own, you may make more money in the long run. However, it takes time and effort to build up.

I couldn’t agree more with Belinda. There is not an easy way to get money online, it all require effort and focus and most importantly TIME and patience. Usually people tend to loose focus as time passes and become desperate then quit. Take a look at these guys and learn how they did it. There are several survey sites that are legit,, your not going to get rich doing them though. Do not give anyone your SSN there are lots of sites out there that are legit and they do not need this info from you. Nor do you have to pay to join.
