   Wow, you skip a few things here… First of all, when you start you home based business you need to establish first what kind of operation you are going to build. Are you going to build just one site? Are you going to build this yourself? What are you goals? Your budget? Etc. Before you can even think about traffic, you need to have a site (which means, you need a host) and a plan. Personally I highly recommend http://bit.ly/FreeSite4You as a host because you get unlimited hosting of an unlimited amount of domain names. They are really cool. Check that out.

   Then what else works for me to create traffic in the long run, is article marketing with links to my sites (I have over 100 sites myself). The absolute best program on that, although it costs some money per month, but it is definitely worth it, you can find here http://bit.ly/LinkVineCallen which works best for me (and I have tried some, but they are all slow in submissions etc. and especially in the beginning you are eager to start and get results).

   Further, find someone you know and trust to work with you together. That is how I started. In the beginning there is a lot of terminology on the Net that is very confusing and to have somebody you can always contact is the best so you don’t get stuck on questions you have or if you both don’t understand something, you are together in sorting things out. For me that has helped a lot. Anyway, first check those sites I just gave you and check out if you like what you see.

   Last but not least, keep a record of everything you research so you can track things. My biggest mistake when I started was I never kept track of the things I saw and that wasted valuable time later on when I needed the data. Keep an Excel file with data or something.
