What is a good home-based service business with low startup capital?

I’m thinking about starting up a home-based service business but I am unsure what would be a good business. If you know of any proven businesses that you or someone you know started that would definitely help. I’m also looking for really unique ideas that most people wouldn’t think of.

My husband and I have an online/offline retail business that might work for you. I can’t give you details here since it’s against the rules of this site but send me an email or check out my profile if you’d like more information.

Can some help me with this home base business idea?

I have an idea, Such as a selling greeting cards from home. But the only thing is that I don’t know how to go about it? I would like to sell them online. Also I do not know if this is a good home base business to start or is there other ideas? Thank you

HI. I have an online business. I also make greeting cards & have for more than 20 years. I find them difficult to sell online. I have found that greeting cards sell better ‘in store,’ (I had them in a Christian book store for the past two years, and they did alright on consignment there). The idea of selling online is great though. I welcome you to share your greeting cards (I would like to see them!) and come to www.ecrater.com to sign up for a FREE store. It isn’t like eBay, which charges for everything. eCrater is completely free, you have a store, pictures, listings, no final value fees, etc. I love it! I haven’t had a sale there, I just set my store up this week! (I was on eBay, I am working on closing things down there…I have two items being bid on so I left them, over a 100 items were listed, and they are all on the way to eCrater.) It is worth the look-see to find out if that is the kind of store you want to try. The forums there are great, the people are so helpful. If you need additional help, just email me and I will help if I can. As for selling…find something that you love… you’re going to have to live with it in your home for a while…is storage an issue? can you afford to have money tied up in investing in vintage items? do you have pets or smoke (are clothing items an option?) do you have another speciality?…antiques, books (highly popular online), etc. I would try a few searches on eBay (for example) in the WANT IT NOW section. Find out ‘what’ people are looking for… that may help.

I hope that helps.

does anyone know any good Internet based home businesses that are not scams?

I have purchased money bank, get google ads free, data enrty inc, hitbooster, instant booster and the google profit machine.
all have proved to be fruitless, im sick of spending money on these scammers and just want to run a genuine home based internet business. any GENUINE ideas?

Great Question.. and as you may have already found out, there is just too many companies out there.

I too was looking for a way to supplement my income so after careful researching I decided to join a company called Global Domains International. Their website is really easy and most of the marketing is done for you. You can sell any domain to anyone that may need it, not only WS but all of the other ones.

The best thing about GDI was that I did not have to do any direct selling and the cost was almost nothing. I currently have some team members that reside in Australia, UK, India, All over the United States, all over South and Central America, so this business is truly global. There is a 7 day free trial period but then after that is just $10.00… 10.. not even enough to take a friend to the movies. Most sites will require you to have a credit card to join, GDI doesn’t, they have partnered up with Paypal to provide and easier and safer process of their members payments.

At first I was skeptical but now I am just amazed on how easy it is, I am not promising you riches over night, but with some time and dedication anything is possible. Take a few minutes and take a look at our presentation, or anyone that is reading this… take a few minutes and listen to what we have to offer. You won’t regret it.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.

Talk to you soon.

Sincerely,

Isra.

Suggestions on starting a home based business?

I am a domestic engineer (stay at home mom) My children have grown and I still want to stay at home. I was hoping some members had some ideas on where to start on building a home based business. I have no experience but I would have family and friend support.I just dont know how or where to start. Can you help me?

well you should ask your bank if you can have a small buisness loan. Then you just go to like a part time collage like once a week or so its called, Small buisness management course. Then you come up with a FANTASTIC IDEA, something big, something new… the next best thing, and then you believe in what your selling, and
YOU GO GIRL…

if this was your work experience and hobbies what home based business would you start.?

first my hobbies include gardeining, cooking, reading, painting, and crafting. my work experience is many years of gourmet cooking and voc ed food service course…so that being all said.. i would like ideas on good reputable home based business i could start with little start up costs..all assistance here would be so greatly appreciated…

Ever thought about creating your own gift baskets. If you love to cook you could include gourmet foods in your baskets. Since you love crafting you could include hand made products and paintings also. I did my own online store using gift baskets at www.mygiftsandbasket.com
