The best part is the only people I can work with are those who eat =) I live in MI, and if you watch the news MI has the worst economy and I never have issues with my business slowing down. There are all sorts of "work at home" programs that will pile on "answers" to this question with statements like "guaranteed income"
Ya, right, first of all these people have NO idea what your skills, interests are … but they are offering you gainful employment, what a crock!

There is NO magical internet money maker!

    SNOT REEL!

There are only scams and terribly misguided "business people" who run these so-called opportunities on the web.

NONE OF THEM will make you a living or for that matter a bit of spare change!

I work full time, but I also made about $2700 last year selling things on Ebay. We have a thrift store here that has a 1/2 price day once a week. A lot of times it is hit or miss and in the beginning there is a LOT of research you have to do (what sells and what does not), but after a while you get the hang of it. If you have someone you can call while you shop, they can check selling prices for you before you buy.

You also have to make sure you take the Ebay and Paypal fees into consideration. You could even start out by selling stuff you want to get rid of.

I tend to stay away from heavy items, high priced items and very fragile items (if the shipping ends up being too much, people won’t buy your item).

You didn’t say you are looking for something using the internet…which, but the way, will take you months to learn the ropes and even then, you’ll probably be lucky to make a couple $100.
Have you thought of starting a part time office cleaning business? You can do it a couple of evenings a week, for a couple of hours and pick up $800-$2,500 a month, more or less, depending on how much you want to do, who are your clients, etc. It’s not hard to start, but will take some effort (as all things worth while do) getting clients, etc, in the beginning. It also doesn’t cost much to get started.

I have all kinds of resources and tips below…
