Do I need govt. permits to start a home based business in Bangalore?

Hi,
I want to start a home made food delivery service soon in Bangalore (India). Do I need to obtain any govt. permit or registration certificate for this purpose?
Being a novice in this field, I welcome suggestions from entrepreneurs from anywhere in the world, to get an idea about the formalities.

u need a license for ur work
example;; tutors have their tution license
;; rationshops have their license
