Where do I look for home-based business law for Florida?

I’m looking to start a home-based catering business in the future and am wanting to know the laws, rules and regulations for owning and running a catering business from home. I’ve been on a few state-run websites but maybe I’m overlooking one! Help!

Serious answers only please! Thanks!
Let me re-iterate my initial statement. It’s home-based but on the web. I WON’T have any customers showing up to my home. It’s catering;not a restaurant.

The laws are the same as for NON home based businesses.
You are running into some very strict laws for food preperation with a catering business that you should know about.
The fact that it is home based has no bearing on anything. There are no special laws for a home based business unless you have clients coming into your house a lot, which could run afoul of zoning or homeowners association laws.
EDIT: I understand that it is catering. You need to check the food prep and handling laws in your state, even if it is for catering. Some states are very strict and require all food that is sold to be prepared in certain types of kitchens.
I understand you will have a website. I understand there will be no clients coming to your home. You will need a business licence, which is issued by the state tax office, and requires you to collect sales tax. The fact that it is being run from your home, or on a website, does not trigger any additional laws.

Here are two sites that might help. I wish you the best of luck. On the second site listed, click business legal service plan and watch the online movie presentation on how to protect your business.
