Probably 95% of all home based businesses will have a startup cost associated with it.
As far as "pretty good income" only you can control thta with hard work. The problem with home based businesses is that people expect to just join and start making money. That is where people start labeling home based business opportunities as scams. It is easier for them to blame the company, than it is to own up top their lack of effort and failure.
I have been with a company for almost two years, and I can’t speak highly enough about it.

You get what you pay for so if you’re not prepared to invest in your own business you probably shouldn’t expect to make any money either. Sorry, it’s just reality.
