How can I turn my passions into a job working from home?

I LOVE problem solving (figuring out the best way to resolve situations, helping people find information they need, customer service type things). How can I turn this into a home-based business?

One idea I had was to help resolve customer service issues for small businesses. I am thinking of businesses like lawn services and contractors who don’t have an office staff and don’t have an office.

What do you think of this idea? If you own a small business, would you pay for a service like this?

Any other suggestions?

I am not really sure if small business owners would pay for a service like that. I would think business owners would like to handle the dispute themselves to make sure it was handled correctly and that their customer is happy. And lets face it, business owners don’t like to have extra an extra expense they don’t need.

I have one idea…I know there is a business here that offers a call service. For instance, we have a client at work who is a vet and when he is out and about he turns his calls over to an answering service. This service also takes faxes for him since he doesn’t have an office. This would be great for a lawn care service, a house cleaning service, even doctors. You may be able to offer other "office" type services for those who don’t have an office. Like making copies, doing mailings, notary, faxing service, etc.

    Many companies are looking for part time and full time employees
    to do service jobs online. You can find these opportunities on the internet. Try looking up home business on google.

    I would focus on one area of expertise, which I am sure you have and market that.

    Say you are good at gardening and landscaping. Offer a troubleshooting website, maybe get some sponsors to generate a lot of funds. Of course, you have competition there.

    Or you could have yourself be a consulatant on a field you have some knowledge in. This might require some travelling, but if you are in a big town, bus and subway might fill the bill.

    I myself am planning on turning my garage into a computer repair shop. Not original, but hey, it could make me a lot of money. I, like you, have a knack for troubleshooting.

    I myself would drift away from the idea of business and simply get a job as a troubleshooter in a field you have knowledge in.
